Fusion Bellydance Workshop
Fusion Bellydance is a dance style that originally stems from oriental dance, from which American Tribal Style Belly Dance was developed in California at the end of the 1960s. This in turn was further developed at the end of the 90s by pioneers such as Jill Parker and Rachel Brice into Tribal Fusion, now known as Fusion Bellydance. The focus is mostly on internal dance movements with tempo and dynamic changes and the isolation of different movement sequences in the body. Isolation in dance means separating different movement sequences in the body from one another. In so-called “layering”, the isolated application sequences are then combined with each other.
Through my years of training in oriental dance and tribal fusion, I have studied isolation movements in dance in great detail and particularly appreciate the combination of body control and looseness, as well as the optical illusions created. Individual expression, for which there is plenty of room in fusion bellydance, should not be neglected either.
The focus is on dance technique and, of course, the joy of dancing and body awareness. We will also learn a short choreography. Beginners are welcome. Only with pre-registration by e-mail.
The workshop will take place with at least 4 registrations by 26.04.
