12³⁰ FLINTAQ* – Getting into contact impro
In this FLINTAQ* contact impro workshop series we explore the form of contact improvisation as beginners // with a beginner‘s body_mind. Through solo-, dyade-, tryade- and group exercises we playfully engage with practices and principles that are useful in CI (e.g. rolling, falling, weight sharing, contact points, listening …) while simultaneously developing an awareness of its eco-queerfeminist politicality and potentiality for practising cultural change (e.g. staying in contact with myself while being in contact with others, consent, boundaries, giving-receiving, leading-following, deep sensing and connectedness, dealing with disorientation, failing and falling…).
Structure of the workshop
We‘ll start with a guided somatic arrival and a check-in, then move through some exercises and scores together, with the possibility of exchange. Right after the session, there‘s a FLINTAQ CI Jam, where one can continue the exploration and exchange.
The workshop is held in English and/or German, depending on the participants‘ needs.
